Happy Friday, my beloved Climate Optimist community!
You may have seen my post from Wednesday where I introduced you to the month-long activation I’m running, inviting you to IMAGINE. The idea was initially sparked (years ago) by a quote that completely changed my life:
“Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.”
— Mary Oliver
The truth is the future is still unwritten and it is soo so so important that we find the time and space today to imagine something wildly different. Because… what if?
What if…
the future is better than anything we can possibly imagine today?
sustainable and climate-smart innovations will bring us more joy, abundance, and presence?
ideas yet to be discovered will leap us into new levels of consciousness, remapping what it means to be human here on planet Earth?
I won’t say more because the meditation truly speaks for itself! I recorded it because I know just how powerful it can be when you guide people into that place of imagination, the expansive place of “what if…?”
This morning I woke up to the most heartfelt message from a community leader in France who had just done the meditation and had such a powerful experience, she asked if we could somehow translate it into French.
“I would love to share it with a group of political leaders where I live here in rural France.”
I’m sharing this:
to ask that if you have any ideas of how this can be translated, please hit me up!
to prove just how powerful this meditation is! So if you can carve out 20 minutes this weekend, I hope we can send some time together in the “What ifs…”
A Dose of Climate Optimism
I’ll do a shorter version of the good news this week, because there is some momentum worth paying attention to!
First off, I love this article by Climate Hopium pointing to the fact that even if Trump is saying “Drill, Baby Drill”, the trend is still going in the green direction. We have simply reached a positive tipping point where the renewable revolution is inevitable!
I also love the news by WaterBear networks highlighting that a river in England just gained legal rights, that small wins were made for Biodiversity at the global biodiversity talks in Rome, and that San Francisco has launched an emissions-free hydrogen ferry!
Momentum continues to build all over the world and if you ever know of a story worth sharing, please do send it my way!
With grounded optimism, always
Anne Therese
Psst… we’re longing for spring here in Western Massachusetts!
