“Don’t worry, you can leave New York and still be a New Yorker!”
That’s what the moving truck said when I passed it on West End Avenue and it felt like the Universe struck a lightning bolt through my body.
This was the message I’d been looking for, the sign of trust in my divinely guided path and my inner knowing that it was time to move on.
It’s hard to stay with the flow of change when places and experiences are no longer what we do and where we live, but who we are. It’s the identity we attach to something that keeps us stuck, sometimes even though we know that we should move on.
But I continue to be amazed by how much we can change, grow, and thrive if we only trust our journey, and how much bounty life will unfold for you if you dare to listen to those inner callings.
Could we learn to apply the same curiosity and willingness to explore when it comes to unlocking a new kind of world? Is it in fact our ability to stay in flow, to trust the currents of change, that will help us out of this darn climate mess?
I think so, but then I’m a big believer in the power of positive change. And I only have my entire life to prove it…

Wrapping Another Climate Week!
Although I was super intentional with climate week commitments this year (hey mama life as preggo with a toddler,) I was still able to make a few appearances. For one, I had the honor of closing the UN Global Compact Network’s SDG Summit with a fireside chat on climate optimism!
That was a lot of fun!
I also love how the Global Compact Network is bridging the gap between the important work of the United Nations and the US private sector, this is where change happens!
On Thursday, I hosted a workshop at Time For Better’s HOPE HOUSE where a diverse group of climate leaders showed up to learn and go deeper. We discussed the 6 steps to empowered climate leadership and how no matter your work, transformation starts from within.
In both the fireside chat and the workshop, I honed in on the importance of the IDGs and how I believe we won’t achieve our Sustainable Development Goals unless we also tend to the inner qualities we all must grow and nurture.
