💧 Investment in Clean Water for New York 💧
Governor Kathy Hochul is delivering on her commitment to clean water with $340 million in funding for critical water infrastructure projects across New York State! This investment ensures that communities have access to safe, affordable drinking water, supports wastewater treatment upgrades, and strengthens local economies.
With $250 million dedicated to key projects in New York City, including the Kensico-Eastview Connection, this funding helps modernize systems without overburdening taxpayers. Clean water is essential for public health, environmental sustainability, and our future—and New York is leading the way! 💙🚰
🌍 Three Decades of Climate Adaptation: Progress & Milestones 🌍
For 31 years, the UNFCCC has driven global efforts to adapt to climate change, shifting from early fragmented strategies to cohesive, inclusive action. From the Paris Agreement to the UAE Framework for Global Climate Resilience, each milestone has strengthened adaptive capacity, resilience, and financial support for vulnerable communities.
At COP 29, the Adaptation Committee reflected on this journey, launching an Interactive Portal to track adaptation progress worldwide. As climate impacts intensify, international cooperation and shared knowledge remain key to protecting lives, livelihoods, and ecosystems.
☀️ The Future Is Still Bright for Clean Energy ☀️
The U.S. is set to add 58.4 GW of clean energy in 2025—equivalent to the power of 29 Hoover Dams! Leading the charge is 32.5 GW of solar, with states like Texas, California, and New York driving massive growth. An additional 7.7 GW of wind and 18.2 GW of battery storage will help keep the grid strong and sustainable.
This shift isn’t just about energy—it’s about a cleaner, healthier future for all. The momentum is unstoppable! ⚡
Podcast Interview: That Optimist Man
In one of the most energising and soul-stirring episodes of That Optimism Man Podcast to date, Victor Perton is joined by Anne Therese Gennari, widely known as The Climate Optimist, and author of The Climate Optimist Handbook.
This episode is more than a conversation; it is a rallying cry to reclaim our agency, imagination, optimism, and joy in the face of challenge. Together, Anne Therese and Victor explore how leading with infectious optimism can spark personal transformation, inspire bold climate action, and build a world grounded in hope rather than fear.
Words of Hope

The Optimism Principle: "The answer to life’s most pressing questions is optimism.”
Anne Therese Gennari radiates what we at The Centre for Optimism call magnetic optimism. On That Optimism Man podcast, she shared her extraordinary journey from angry young activist to The Climate Optimist—a leader whose voice reshapes the global climate conversation with courage, imagination, and a daily optimism practice. Her wisdom reminds us that optimism is not a denial of reality. It is the bold choice to show up with hope, especially when facing our most significant challenges.
As Anne Therese said: “Since we are in power of creating and writing the future, why wouldn’t we bring our most optimistic self to that picture?”
